This is a test
just a quick test to make sure that things are up and running here. This will sort of give you an idea of what you can do with this thing, how its set up and all. I've got a couple of posts vaguely ready and if my connection comes back up I'll get the copied and pasted over here. I was actually trying to do that when I lost my connection *note to self...no matter how many times you try, you cannot do more than 1 thing at a time*
Just a little background info on those pictures I posted. The house is Frank's parents...the yard is their yard...its really a nice place with the Pecos running behind it. During Christmas all the houses on the river do this giant light display (sort of like the one they do in NN park) on the back of their houses and then they do river tours at night so you can float down and see them all. The two sculptures are ones that Frank mom did...she's really good. I still need to get down to the public library here...she has a HUGE one out in front of it. The ones of the waterfall were taken at Sitting Bull Falls. It sit somewhere around 4500 ft above sea level and is absolutely gorgeous. You can see people swimming at the base of it, but there are also some pools at the very top of it that you can swim in. The water was absolutely freezing, but if you stood in it long enough you went numb so it wasnt so bad :)
As I've been typing this my connection has gone on and off 4 times so I'm just going to post it while i can.
